The wildly successful Isetta saved BMW from bankruptcy in the 1950's. Powered by a 1 cylinder 300cc BMW air cooled motorcycle engine, 70+ mpg.

In the late 1950s, in Lincoln Nebraska, Chicken D'lite delivered fried chicken dinners in white Isettas. I was very young, but I still remember being fascinated when the driver opened that front door of the Isetta and climbed out. I drive old BMWs, but I lust for an Isetta 300! Yours is beautiful! they were more reliable than today BMW. They didn't catch fire like while park with the ignition off.
