Ham Radio Hill Top Kit Sota Pota

My hill topping ham radio kit with an alternate lighter weight version for the summer time. Video links to some of items in the video are as follows

Vanquest ftim 6x9 ver2 kit mounted on hsgi thigh platform

Maxpedition Proteus Versipak edc bag.

I rotate the gear based on the environment and duration of my hilltopping / sota / pota plans. The kit can remove several items to become lighter weight, or add more items for the colder seasons. I like operating from an external carrying bag with my hf rig inside instead of tossing my radio into my backpack. The reason for it is because that how my radios get damaged. I prefer a more protective way of operating. There are chargers for the yaesu vx7r and ftqdr in the ftim 6x9 vanquest pack.

Filmed on a panasonic gh2 24fps, aperture 4.0 iso 160 with a nominal prest white balance IE outdoor cloud setting with a zoom h6 recorder midside mic and rode wireless filmmaker kit set.

Good stuff man. How do you use the AA battery bank to charge? I run my FT60 with the factory battery and if I need it, a lifepo4. A small solar set up would be perfect though. - KD2SXO
