I removed the rearview mirror, but it looks like I need to put the screw back in. I just noticed the front of the housing is not flat against the windshield and is loose.

Are there any legal implications to removing the rear view mirror (RVM) on the Cybertruck? In other words, can you be ticketed for not having a RVM? Could an insurance company refuse to pay a claim because of an absent RVM?

I agree that the RVM on the Cybertruck is completely useless, but there must be some reason why Tesla put a token RVM on the Cybertruck.

The mirror is not entirely useless, as I hang my state park pass from it. I do wish the rear camera changed to a normal lens at 25+ mph, as the fixed wide angle lens is only useful for parking --- it's not a replacement for the rearview mirror. I end up using the driver side side mirror to see what's behind me, which works pretty well as the Cybertruck side mirrors are very large.

I don't understand why they couldn't just add a digital rearview mirror. It just makes more sense. Why take up space in the touch screen... just looks so out of place.

Remove to get out the view? There's a black square plastic behind the mirror, make no sense to remove

What if you get in an accident? The insurance could say you didn't have a rear view mirror.
