Bitwig Studio Stretch a Full Track (Accurate)

Hopefully youtube doesn't flag the video and take the audio down...then again people in hell want ice water and we know youtube doesn't give it to them.

Basically I realized that the approach for stretching a full song has changed slightly since the first video (from 2014). This is a stretching approach that is very accurate and taxes the "stretching algorithms" the least giving you a very accurate fully stretched track ready to speed up or slow down to your hearts content.

This approach only works with music that has been made in the computer to a fixed grid and tempo. This sort of strategy should also work inside of Ableton Live with their "warping" terminology. The logic may be slightly confusing to some so please ask any questions you have. If for example you are looking to just grab a 2 or 4 bar passage of a track I wouldn't necessarily recommend this approach (it's unnecessary and probably overkill).

On a side/personal note a computer music learning website I've been working on for more than a year is getting close to public release. The focus of that site is on music creation in general not a specific software. There will be an announcement on this channel sometime in the next few months and on the twitter :)

In Ableton you can select multiple tracks and warp them at once. Is this possible in Bitwig?
