Clinical psychologist Dr Jordan B Peterson joins Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss gender identity and why many people in the modern age are 'scared' to answer the question 'what is a woman?' for fear of backlash from radicals.

Piers brings up some examples of people being 'cancelled' for their views on gender, including when Macy Gray received a massive backlash online for her views and was forced to retract them in a statement.

Last night I attempted to have a conversation with a new friend about Transgender identity. This person has always been quite kind and easy to talk to up until this conversation. At no point did I exclaim that they were wrong or that their opinion was invalid. I expressed that I was interested in gaining knowledge of their opinion whilst also expressing my own. At every point in the conversation before I could make my point they jumped over me, evaded my point, and came back to the reassertion that I was transphobic. It was not a discussion. The conversation ended with them proclaiming that I am uneducated, I have no compassion, and I don’t respect other people. I wish that having a discussion was still okay, As I stated multiple times within my argument. I would never go out of my way to make anyone upset, Thought I will show everybody respect that does not mean I am obliged to agree with them. I wish that the person had felt the same, I wish that they could have seen that I was not attacking them. I was merely attempting to gain an understanding of there view whilst also expressing mine. This has made me scared to ever discuss this issue with anyone ever again.

I am a biological woman. I am happy to remain a woman without anyone questioning the fact. I also like to be treated like a woman. What on earth is happening to people?

There's a level of dishonesty and cowardice in our society that I can't get my head around.

When other countries strive to fight poverty, disease and health, it is amazing to see that Americans are debating on are you man or woman.

A woman is an adult human female, biologically born that way, there is no other kind of woman.

They demand you respect them by calling them something they are not which is lying to them - to their face. How can you call that respect?

Thats the trouble in today's society. We know live in a world where women can't even define what a real woman is just in case they get absolutely hated upon. It's like we aren't allowed to live in a world where your perfectly natural born what u was & remain like that throughout your life & be proud of your identity. Now it's all about transgenderism where if your man u gotta identity yourself as a woman & if your a woman u gotta identity yourself as a man.

Thats the sick world we live in now where nothing is normal. Even our children are expected to class themselves as transgender hence why they get taught all this bullshit in schools & anyone that dares go against that then they're immediately kicked out of class & basically become outcast of society. It's very worrying man.

I'm a biological man a masculine man at that but I'm hated upon for it. It's fuckin crazy what has happened to society where everything that's transgender is now classed as the new normal & those like meself that are biological are literally hated upon for being normal & remaining what I was born as

It’s just getting worse and people are just pandering to these people. They don’t have the right to tell me that i can’t say what I am, I am a woman, I was born a woman and I’m proud of it and if they don’t like it too bad.

Women in the Kanienhaka (Mohawk) community are referred to as "lifegivers" and men as " life protectors." I go with that.

Macey Grey was absolutely spot on.. the fact she was forced to apologise just shows how people are being bullied into not having the right to their own opinion, to please men who want to be women.

It occurs to me that this obsession over gender reminds me of people who insisted in referring to themselves in the third person, and those people exhibit the same kind of personality traits as those who are playing the 'current thing' game.

A woman is a human being who has the XX chromosome. There. It's done.

I've always been center left with my voting but this issue & the left's total adherence to the idea that there are no differences between men & women & that there are no genders has me moving more & more right each day . What JK Rowling has had to endure makes my blood boil.

One sentence that stood out was that about the in alignment of social norms and identity. In my home country there are many social norms that I don't follow and bring in line with my identity for the simple reason that it is a norm here to show oneself weaker to people of "higher hierarchy", it's a norm like that far almost everyone follows, no matter how you are treated, you are expected to make yourself small. I refuse, I've learned how to show off with confidence and carry myself with pride, yet I'm from low hierarchy. It was hard work and took me a few years and now I'm expected to behave like everyone else, to reconcile my identity with a social norm. Of course, that doesn't apply to every norm, but I don't think it's always better to stick to the norms.
