My piece of advice -

On October 15, there will be a community day and one of the event bonuses will be 3x catch Stardust. So spin as many pokestops as you can right now because you can encounter a sableye (which gives 750 Stardust on every catch) from the field research task that says "Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts". Complete those tasks and stack as many sableye as you can and then catch it on October 15 with a star piece. This way you make the most of the community day.

Forget the showcases. Oct. 3rd is 2x Candy Transfers. Oct. 17th is 2x Stardust on captures. As a trainer that is building up his XL legendaries, i need BOTH of those days pronto!

I have won 40 showcases since launch. Have never received an elite TM and rarely any incubators. Usually piles of lures, with some lucky eggs, incenses and star pieces mixed in.

i doubt elite tms are in the reward pool, according to the fandom wiki and the 15 showcases I've won, I've never seen an elite tm drop.

Niantic should fix showcases asap. I'm one of the players that don't even get to see showcases... i can't even get routes approved in my area, so I was hoping at least the showcases would work, but nah...

I don't think they make the showcases specific enough down to what "costume" the pokemon is wearing. If it's Pikachu, it will most likely be any Pikachu and not just detective Pikachu.

You need to get 1th place to even get any exclusive item so the chance is extremely low. So not worth it in my opinion
