i have had something like this for almost 30 years. just a simple box that plugs into the wall, you plug your lamp into that... simple - you plug it in 12 hours before you want the sun to rise, so not programmable or anything... keep meaning to take it apart now that i am more electronics savvy!

Thank you, I need something with all of the violence and power of a NUCLEAR LASER aimed right at my eye flaps otherwise I can't wake up. I'm basically deaf while sleeping.

I want it to be able to switch on ac current normal plug lamps instead of just using the LED, can that be done?

Hi!
I need help about a project to simulate sunrise - sunset with real time clock ⏰.
E.g. i want to start at 07:00 and stop at 19:00 dimming by time (every 15min) for six hours to peak and onother six hours decrease light to sunset.

*arduino uno
*DS1302 or DS3231 Clock Module with Battery
*AC Light Dimmer Module for PWM control, 1 Channel, 3.3V/5V logic, AC 50/60hz, 220V/110V
*dimmable led lamp

this would be great for a led light strips, wondering if I can set the alarm time to cordinate with alexa, so I can hook this into my home automation system

Great video. I know this was five years ago, so I realize a reply is a longshot, but I'd like to make something like this except that it be tied to the actual sunrise (like data from NOAA or whichever service).

That might seem like an odd request because "just open your curtains, dude" but the ambient light where I live is so severe that I need to totally black out my window at night to sleep. I like waking at dawn, with the sun, but since artificial daylight has destroyed nighttime where I am, I can't actually enjoy a real sunrise. So, I want to make a fake one, in time with the real one. Any suggestions?

I have a very bright led pad that runs on 5V(near 2A if source allows)

Before my mosfet arrives, I am using a Relay for now.

This doesnt seem to prioritise efficiency, i want to use the least ammount of power possible during the night and try run it on a battery.

I followed the whole video exactly and the light stays on and does not fade at all. I'm not sure what is wrong
