Nice little project. Thanks for sharing. It's kind of you to mention where you got the idea from (I watched that video as well). Not many makers do that.
The joiner jig to make live a live edge straight looks great. I'll try to make one this year.

Charnwood do a Magnetic LED light that can be moved easily. About £30. Also Woodart Products do some small enough to fit onto chisels for woodturning!
