Learning The Full Song Of Time In Ocarina Of time

This is a clip from the leaked patch of Triforce Percent shown at SDGQ. This custom sequence was put into a vanilla copy of OOT using TASbot. This is a mod that adds in the ACE that Tasbot did at SGDQ triforce percent OoT ACE Showcase.

Using an Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE) exploit in Ocarina of Time to rewrite the game’s plot, get the Triforce, and bring together the community for the future.

Triforce% is a unique type of artistic work: a “speedrun” performance of a video game which uses glitches to modify the console’s memory on-the-fly to create a new story and a new experience within the game. The game cartridge and ROM are completely unmodified; the changes to the game content are accomplished entirely through glitches and controller input. A robot is used to stream controller inputs extremely quickly into the console, but in principle, a version of this could be accomplished by a perfect human player, just much slower.

The storyline created through ACE ties together beta content from Ocarina of Time–some content actually left in the cartridge, some shown in pre-release screenshots and videos and recreated by the Triforce% team–with urban legends about OoT from the early days of the internet, creating a plot leading to the Triforce. Then, Link uses the power of the Triforce to warp to the future, becoming his Breath of the Wild self and bringing in messages of unity from the live Twitch chat, all in real time on a Nintendo 64 console via controller input.

Triforce% was performed live at Summer Games Done Quick 2022 and by itself raised over $227,000 for Doctors Without Borders.

This hits home for me because I bought a 6 hole Ocarina of time from Song Bird ocarinas about 10 years ago and this was the only song I learned on it before entering the workforce and ultimately forgetting my hobbies.

Can't believe that to unlock this, all you had to do was use the canon to ground-pound on the top of Ganon's castle 5 times as Adult Link, warp to the Temple of Time, backflip 3 times off of the Spiritual Stones plaque, hold A throughout the master sword cutscene, save and reset as child link, press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, A and then B on the start menu, and then talk to the Gerudo blocking the bridge to the fortress and let her guide you in.
