Thanks a million for taking my question. :)
Was surprised to hear that Aurochs lived in the forests.

Thanks very much for tackling my question about the Stonehenge altar stone. Yes it's the Senni formation I was thinking of (rhymes with penny btw). It covers a large area bordering some of the A40 route from Preseli. I'm going to a Mike PP lecture tomorrow, so I hope he'll know more than was known two years ago..funding permitting ha ha.
EDIT Prof Parker Pearson did mention the Senni formation theory and mentioned a similar stone at Cwrt y Gollen. However they've now detected barite (baryte?) (an evaporite) in the altar stone which must have been formed under very specific conditions, .giving us more of a mystery, not less. Heigho

Finally able to watch this:) Thank you for including the question on the Ukraine. The pottery you showed is stunning! I am familiar with Maria Gimbutas' work....thanks for bringing her up. Will need to revisit her material again.

I really enjoy your webcasts, witty and wise both.
After your webcast about Brú na Boinne in Ireland’s “Valley of the Kings” and the discussion about the challenge of charting resonances between archaeology and oral traditions I wondered whether you had linked with Creganford?
How often do investigations arising from oral traditions lead to new archeological discovery (or genetic evidence) that modifies the scientific consensus?

We’re a shocking species…so true. We’ve been marching through the New World’s minerals and species for centuries, but the Old World is still busily tormenting each other. I’m in Kansas, thinking of Ukraine and its sunflowers. So dearly love to spend an evening with your thoughts, and the queries of your followers. Mankind is not finished, I hope 🤞

Yes, I'm sure there was major land route from Brecon Beacons to Stonehenge. Am researching. Need to look at sea levels / post glacial conditions - with the altar stone, would they have travelled by land or sea / river or both?

Re the 'how did they do that?' Perennial question, look at Gothic cathedrals. All.built with no huge cranes. And remember, neolithic societies had been shifting huge stones for centuries. West Kenney long barrow is 1000 yrs older than stonehenge.
Also, as a footnote how do you dismantle a hugh mill chimney without dynamite? Call in the late Fred Dibnah and his trusty sledgehammer. You do it brick by brick. There is a you tube video.

The trouble with alignments especially supposed ley lines many are done on a 2d map with a pencil. The width of the pencil lines covers such a broad swathe on the actual ground this affects their accuracy. Also in my youth when I really got into all this farm gate posts and even a country telephone box are claimed to be part of these lines. The argument for things like modern structures being included is that they were placed due to subconscious affects of placing on the lines.

There are two types of Bison in America, the Wood Bison and the Plaines Bison. The European Bison is a Wood Bison.
