Factoring Trinomials by Grouping Steps:
- Step 1: Look for a GCF.
- Step 2: Multiply "a" by "c".
- Step 3: Find the two factors of this number (ac) that add to equal “b”.
- Step 4: Split your middle term into the sum of these two factors.
- Step 5: Check to see if the two binomials in the parentheses match.
- Step 6: Factor by grouping.
