Taking my 2015 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 to the S.France on some of my favourite roads plus a visit to the Le Mans Circuit Museum along the way. Before we left, I also updated the P7 by fitting an Incore Infotainment unit to the car as I wanted to see how good these units actually are.

Love these trips....whetting the appetite as this time next week we will be driving all the way down from London to the south of France, via the A75 (1200kms) for the summer holidays! That motorway is the most beautiful in Europe….millau is great! If you travel on a Sunday, there are no lorries on the road. Calais, Rouen, Chartres, Clement Ferrand to Beziers is our way, some of those autoroutes are free, the A7 travelling east of Paris is busy and expensive.

Big thanks to the missus for putting up with all this and letting us enjoy the journey too.

Love a Harry's garage road trip video. A big thanks to Mrs.M as well for filming them, truly an unsung hero in the production of these great videos.

Sundays are just fantastic when a Harry video drops . No click bait, no hype just Harry enjoying life and being factual .

Paper maps are brilliant for getting a birds eye view of what to look for, since electronic maps don't usually show nearly enough detail zoomed out. Lovely trip as always! Thank you for bringing us along.

I now prefer Harry going to the South of France in a Project 7 in stead of going there myself

As someone who lives in Perth Western Australia. Also known as the most isolated capital city in the world.
Can only dream about going for drives like this.. In the same distance, I would be in the middle of the outback looking at red dirt.
The road, scenery & the history of Europe is just something stunning to see

You just can’t beat the Michelin road maps! I sometimes find myself just opening them up to study them when I’m in my living room instead of turning on the tv! … haha

The Millau bridge is amazing. The shot of how spindly the towers look with the road deck up in the sky is just mind boggling.

Harry is and has always been a class act. Twenty seven minutes just went by and I was sorry the video ended. Cars, bikes, Harry's got it all!

I went to Millau with my sceptical family because of Top Gear, and they were completely won over by the beauty of the bridge and the area around it. An interesting detail: There are no structural or topographical reasons for the curve of the bridge: It´s pure aesthetics: Foster wantetd you to see all the pillars as you go over it... And it´s magical.

The myriad of things one can learn from a single video by Mr.Metcalfe is just something else. Absolutely brilliant.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Harry negotiates with Mrs. M on the drive by camera shots, what handbag/dresses he has to buy.

What a life this chap and family have..Another amazing episode .
I remember during the mid 1970`s on a package tour, Page & Moy to the Monaco Grand Prix. Thinking on the coach with other travellers how nice it would be doing the trip in an E type job or similar..
Never happened for me but Bon Chance to them for getting there in life.

Fantastic!
We have a trip planned to Millau and the Aveyron region as soon as harvest is over here in the Saskatchewan Prairies.
Visits to France have always been basically to family - and rushed - but family are now no longer with us. I’m now 70 so our trip this time will be sort of open ended and much more leisurely.
All I need is for a good crop and prices to hold where they are, then I will push the boat out and hire a decent car, not the usual mid range hatchback thing. Flying into Toulouse will also be a first for us.
Keep the videos coming - on both cars and farming.
My appetite is well and truly whetted for our trip, 5 years since our last one.

I did a similar route from Caan, via Le Mans, down to a place called Montreal ( no not Canada! ! ) near Carcassonne . It was year 2000, on holiday with my family in Alfa Romeo 75 3litre . Drove all the way down . We did not see the Viaduct on the way there, but took an alternative route back, drove under it through a deep valley. Beautiful scenery down there . High quality road surfaces, whether on main roads or going up mountains on side roads. Happy days . Thanks for bringing back the memories, if unintentionally!

Did 2000 miles in my F Type through France a month ago, Harry, so this little video bought back some great memories. Don’t stop filming your road trips 😁
