Ariel is awesome. I've always been fascinated with microscopy photography. I just recently purchased the Bolioptics 40-400x inverted portable biological microscope that she highlighted in her 2018 favorite things. It's amazing! I'm now thinking of my next microscope that is a stronger power to see even smaller stuff.

As a microbiologist, I spotted that vintage monocular light microscope right away. We still have some old black Bausch and Lomb scopes at work from the 1950s I think.
