So fun fact about Marx, in the Japanese version, his blurb text on the pause screen outright says that he hasn't reformed at all and that he's only on Kirby's side for his own benefit.

My thing with Dream Friends is just that, they're dream friends! They come from Kirby's memories of his friends. Which explains why you can have Dedede and Meta Knight fight Dedede and Meta Knight, and have Marx fly around and cause destruction and such.

The thing with that is that it's kinda cute for some characters (Gooey, Rick, Kine, Coo, Dedede, and if the rumours are true, *her* ), but with Marx and Dark Meta Knight it's like...huh???
I guess Kirby just sees the good in people...? I mean, he's kinda friends with Magalor and Susie so...

apparently the japaense website implies marx is still a prick and he's just allying with kirby to keep the world from being destroyed with him on it

I found I generally didn't use dream friends that much, i preferred constantly switching partners. granted, marx, rick, and gooey weren't out yet, and I LOVE all of them

the artist miniboss is more a reference to drawcia (main villain of canvas curse) and a triple deluxe boss.
