My Siamese rescue boy was diabetic and on insulin. We used a glucometer to test his blood glucose and he made the connection between testing/shots and feeling better. Any time he didn't feel well he'd take me to his testing spot and ask to have his blood glucose tested. His blood sugar was too high every time he did that.

Aw she understands that "thank you" is said in reaction to something good/ that makes her feel better. She realises that the medicine you give her helps her, so she asks you to remember her "thank you"s. That's so adorable❤
