So theory time. That machine we seen Wilson's character marching towards in the space suit is condensing all the timelines into a single one, probably at the behest of King who's using it to construct his own sacred timeline under his control. You can see what looks like a clue of temporal stands to the left, going through the machine, and coming out the other end as a single strand. If this is true, my guess is that this is the same machine He Who Remains used to originally create the sacred timeline.
