Titus Kaphar is an award-winning painter and sculptor, writer, and director of Exhibiting Forgiveness. Kaphar’s artworks capture the spirit of social justice and change in America today, most notably exemplified in his TIME cover portrait of the Ferguson protests. Recognized as a MacArthur "Genius" Fellow, he was honored for challenging the lack of representation of people of color in Western art by deconstructing its literal and visual structures.
