(728) Rapping on Master Lock for a FAST OPEN!

Studying the master lock mechanism, I realized the spring loaded pawls could be open fast by rapping on the master lock with a hammer. Incredibly, it popped open after a few licks. What a FAST way to open a master lock!

I can't believe how good Master locks have gotten. This is a huge improvement! The lock opened before it fell apart!

its clever of master lock have these built in reduncies in case people misplace their keys,

During the flooding last year I was able to pick the neighbors lock on his gate to access the back way in to our cabin on the river to prepare more for the flood. I tapped it with a maglite. It locked back. Thank you. Not all lock picking is for theives.

I bought a bike with a chain and a master lock on it. Before cutting the lock, I remembered this video, and just hit it several times with a plain, steel ball peen hammer. It popped open on the 6th rap. Thanks Bosnisn Bill ! ! No thanks, Master lock.

Love the video. Like the fact that you can beat on the lock and open it. Neat trick. I'm a firefighter and we can open locks and doors but usually by prying or cutting something which causes damage. I would love to see a series of videos with tricks like this to open locks I could use in our operations that would not cause damage. You probably won't do a series like that so can you give me names of your videos that may have content like that? Thanks in advance.
