I just bought sleeping gods and i am at the end of campaign 1.i love the game and we are not dead a single time.we come near the death sometimes but we managed to survive.its my most expensive boardgame with nemesis comesecond by a little.best money spent in both games

Thanks for your thoughts on this game. Made me swing to the positive and will buy side.
The negatives you mention though are not realy negatives to me. What kept me from buying untill now is that it just still not available in retail here. Next the price. Third I worried about replayability in this type of narative game. Seeing yours and other reviews took care of that. In addition a negative could also be table space and time. I estimate a campaign will be a long game session and wilI it be worth it to put on the table knowing it will take up space for a couple of days or even more for a solo game?

The reason you missed the ability cards being removed in the rule book is because it's not in the printed one. I belive it's in the updated online one and it's in the errata, but not in the printed one in the game. This is a common complaint that it should have been in there. A real sucker punch surprise I you didn't read the rules online.

They’ve fixed a lot of the things that infuriated me in the original with their new game. Combat is almost stupidly hard, and you can’t run away. They fixed that in the new game and gave everyone more health
