SOLID VIDEO. Love the new C8 but dang the C7’s push rod V8 still sounds incredible! I do wish the Z06 has a bit more low end frequencies but overall, Chevy nailed the sound.

That manual is a good reason to not get rid of that car. So rare now to find a manual!

You don't have to decide which one you prefer... if you own both! It's like having two girlfriends at the same time.

I love everything about the C8 Z06 except for the front design. it's nice looking, don't get me wrong, but the C7 Z06 front design just looks so menacing.

I’ll be keeping my C7Z when I get a C8. I still love it. It’s a beast. Love shifting gears.

C8 all day. I always liked vettes but there was just other cars I'd take over them. But the c8 at the price point is untouchable

I prefer the C8. The flat plane V8 sounds really good

I’ve got a 2018 Z08 manual, and I love it. I’ll keep it forever. My 2024 Z06 rolled off the assembly line last week. Last week of ‘24’s, and it’s on its way to the dealer. I’m selling my F8, and keeping my ‘18 Z06, if that tells you anything. 100% in agreement with your review!

I think the c8 is better from a dig and tracking, but the c7 is better for top end performance and much easier to modify

It's nice to have someone that owns both cars to review them this way you get no stupid bias review that's what you want. Personally I go for the C7 ZO6 way more fun to drive.

Good, solid, and honest review. Thank You! I bought the 2015 C7 Z with the manual - brand new - and have had it almost 10 years now. When the C8 Z was announced - I wanted one. But I have since got out of line and will stick with my C7. I love driving it around town and on the track. It's so fun! Nothing like that stick with the rev-match. With all my track time on it - I feel totally connected to the car (I know what it will do) and don't want to give that up. I do envy people who have the C8 Z though. I'd love to do a track day with one. But it doesn't look like that'll ever happen. I'm Ok with it though because I have my mean-green-yellow-beast.

2019 C7 ZO6, M7. Will be keeping it. The C7 is actually a front mid engine, 50/50 balance. The torque is there at low RPM. When your tires warm up on the track, you don’t have tire issues getting squirrelly.

I didn't know that it was possible to put the back window down on the C8.
I loved being able to drive with the rear window out on my 72 C3 back in the day.

I have both a '17 C7Z and a '24 C8Z. I love both of them. As for spinning the tires I'm running a 19" rear wheel with 345/30 R888R tires, I turn a 10.7 1/4 mile on an unprepped track without using launch control. Tires are one of the biggest performance differences with respect to time. Jim Mero (chevy test engineer) stated before the C8Z came out that the biggest difference in times at the track would be from a change in tire technology...he was right when you look at the ring times. I will say the C8Z is much easier to drive vs. the C7Z it feels different. But when it comes to that old school feel from a front engine rear wheel drive car the C7Z is the best of them...besides the ZR1 of course.

A couple of points: First, tires make all the difference! Comparing sport cups to all seasons is almost comical. Get some sticky tires on the C7 and the scales will tip. Second, torque is the key in the visceral feel. If you get the C7 to hook up, you'll fall in love with it even more! Good video though, both cars really are awesome!

I love how you never get the same pops and bangs out of the C8. Also, those wheels are crazy, I may have to have them.

SICK video bro! I did the same. I own both a manual C7Z and a C8Z coupe. I can't pick one to own so i decided to keep both. I've had my 16Z since brand new so it does carry a ton of memories plus it's been very reliable with the only thing i had to replace was the OEM battery. Only thing that sucks is because of my busy schedule i literally only drive each of my Z's once or twice a week. But that's ok because it's such an honor and i'm grateful to be able to own both.
