Sir in first question answer should be A. Statement 1 alone is sufficient. As it says Q is at 2 nd place which is preceded by P which means P is before Q so P must be 1 st appointment.
Hence statement 1 alone is sufficient.

For the first question i think the answer is Option A because Q was preceded by P means P comes before Q and since Q is at the second place so P will be at the first place and thus the first statement itself is enough to locate the position of P.

The first question is wrong Q was preceded by P means P came before Q which means it came first so statement 1 is sufficient and therefore the answer is 1.

The explanation for Abhishek and Bandhan's question is not correct. Abhishek makes an angle of 45 degrees wrt east while Bandhan makes an angle of tan-1(3/4). Hence, the origin, the final position of A, and the final position of B are not in a straight line, which was assumed while explanation.
