[Anchor Lead]
A KBS team has captured the hidden, picturesque scenery of Towangseong Fall in Seorak Mountains, Gangwon-do Province on camera. It hadn’t been seen on film in decades, appearing only for two-to three days after a downpour. Let's check it out.

A legend says that Ulsan Rock settled down in Seorak Mountain while traveling to Kumgang Mountain in order to participate in a competition to select the best scenic beauty. Below Gongryong Ridge... standing like walls behind the rock, a scene resembling a black-and-white painting emerges with clouds clearing away. A narrow stream of water falls down from a ridge of the rocky mountain. The stream falling from the precipitous cliff takes a brief rest but soon breaks into tiny droplets like fine flour and flows to a valley The fall presents the panorama of Mother Nature, which resembles the form of a fantasy movie. It has been said it resembles a strip of white cloth hung out by a fairy on a rock. Towangseong Falls begins from Hwachae Peak at an altitude of 1,320 meters. It is 320 meters long, the longest in Korea, with the upper part measuring 150 meters, the middle part 80 meters and the lower part 90 meters. The fall's water capacity is not large, since it is narrow with a short distance from the origin to the upper part. So the rare beautiful sight of water flowing down the fall can be seen only for two or three days after rain. The frequent heavy rains in Seoraksan Mountain, which followed a prolonged drought, has revealed the hidden, mysterious scenery of Towangseong Falls.
