"You really have to avoid the rough and bunkers". "Let me bash this driver." LOL

Royal Troon can humble any golfer in the world. I used to play my golf at the public courses in Troon and even they were ferocious, especially when the wind blew, which was always. It's what golf's about.

If I shot 81 on that course I'd be doing cartwheels! We've all had days like that but you held up better than most, especially with a camera in your face all day. Keep up the great content Peter! You rock.

Pete, I don’t understand how you don’t have more subscribers! You are the best personality in you tube. I think you need to make some trips to America

I played Royal Troon in June last year and it was my favorite course on my trip to Scotland. I loved every minute of my day. Seven rounds in seven days, what place. My happy place is Scotland and I think about it everyday. Thanks for taking me back.

Mr Finch, you are so much fun to watch, you can play so well, but you are too hard on yourself. You have the best golf channel on YouTube. I love your SOH, and amazing golf shots, especially your driving.

Burst out laughing whilst in the works canteen when you said "good nine putt" after the 6th hole, tremendous sarcasm! 😂

I know it was a challenging round for you score wise but it's great to watch you playing these courses and enjoying yourself where you can. We're all learning seeing you play, keep up the great work as always.

Great video and a fun watch! This type of content rings true with all of us. We relate to the struggles, the collapses, the hope that is the back 9 (until it begins) and the overall emotional rollercoaster that is GOLF... the nastiest of ALL four-letter words (and yet so beautiful). She's my mistress.
On another note, who are you playing with? Who's the jovial and socially rambunctious stocky, bald guy? What a cheerful delight he must've been to play with! It seemed he got happier as your score started going up. I seem to recognize Hannah... from Rick Shiels maybe? "Beth"... now she's a hottie...

Very comforting to see someone as good as you zig zagging their way from tee to green, makes it a whole lot more real for us high handicappers. BTW i think you and Rick should do a golf bidder challenge with high handicapper clubs.

Mr. Finch, I think it says and shows much more of you as a golfer and as an ambassador or golf, that you accept your poorer moments and let the average golfer see it, than some of the channels I see that ONLY hit good shots and oooonly have low scores. Thanks for being real.

I played Royal Troon in May! Such a similar experiences we had. Started of with a lovely drive, made par on the first. Then it started to get hard, and then most of the rest of the holes just ganged up on me and said 'Lad, you need moore practice, you are not ready for this fight!' and left me with some scars to remember the fight by... Granted, it was my second round outside this season.
Before the trip I watched the "movie" they made with just Henrik and Phil's shots, and some commentary, I played it in a simulator. But I was not prepared for how undulated it really is. I thought some tee-shots from the yellows were intimidating, can't imagine them from the black, but then again I play of 8 handicap.
The cameras don't give credit to how tight those fairways are, I left my driver in the bag on a lot of holes just to hit the fairway. I'm surprised you let it rip on almost every hole, finding some awful lies.
It is an amazing course, I really enjoyed being there, and I hope to play it again, perhaps a bit further into the season!

Absolutely love this series!
What driver are you using? Thought Stealth 2 was in the bag?

Me, last year: -3 through 6. +2 through 9. Feeling good. Long confident strides. Big smile. Then…omg. +6 back nine. ((With two birdies)). #beastofacourse #lullsyouin #golfishard
Terrific video series, brother!
