Why don’t they give rebates in this so called new tax regime? Its becoming penalised working on good salary in india
As i earn 70 lacs a year
1. 10% CtC go in PF - which cannot be used unless you leave job for 6 months or retire = 7 lacs
2. 30% of tax on salary 10-50 lacs go in direct tax = 13.125 lacs
3. 40% of tax on salary above 50 lacs = 5.2 lacs
Addition is 5% of total cess on tax amount
= 19.5 lacs as tax + 7 lacs as PF deduction = 26.5 lacs
Give a penny in hand = 43.5

70 is what i think ill get and people say wow
43.5 is what i actually get inhand, to which i say NO..so bad to be true, this jinx, this succumb.

Top on that is indirect tax while buying a car, bike, TV, petrol, GST how we can forget this brutal nail in the coffin and the list goes on & on

Sometime feel like i earn more for government rather than my own family.

Cut to short i can 4 month absolute salary for myself and family rest 8 month is for government and people who enjoy subsidies.
