Toyota RAV4 beater? Leapmotor C10 2025 preview: Cut-price electric SUV to shake up family-car fight!

The 2025 Leapmotor C10 is looking to flip Australia's highly competitive mid-size SUV segment on its proverbial head. Yes, it's another Chinese fully electric vehicle, but this one is looking to genuinely take the fight to the best-selling Toyota RAV4 Hybrid with razor-sharp pricing that will be hard to say no to.

That's right; with an estimated starting price of about $45,000 plus on-road costs, the C10 is looking to reset the value benchmark for zero-emissions, high-riding family cars. But what is a Leapmotor, anyway? Well, it's the product of a Chinese automotive joint-venture with Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep and Peugeot, among other American and European brands.

I think Maserati needs to tune the design of this thing as well. Like it’s got all the features of a standard 2024 SUV, but my god does it have the personality of a budget fridge. There is seriously nothing even remotely unique about it. At least cars from BYD or Zeekr have designs we never saw before, this is just a white good.

Stelantis lol. They’re on oxygen themselves and treading water. How good the car is, is almost irrelevant as the importer is about to be Holden’ed.
I’m not game enough to knock Chinese cars. They may be masters of imitation but I would ever rule of the the copy being better than the original. Not sure on this one tho, but the dealer will fail before the car
