What is Desmos?
A maths-specific questioning tool that enables you to ask different types of questions that require tables, graphs or equations for answers. Students have access to a built-in calculator. It can be used for asking questions associated with practicals.
Teachers can then monitor the progress of the whole class, or can look at individual questions to see how they are doing in real-time (or later).
Only a single teacher ID is needed for log-in per session.
Did you know?
- I first discovered Desmos because it has the function to do card-sorts.
- You may want to number the questions.
- It’s worth adding a slide titled ‘The End’ so that students know when they’ve finished.
