When I gave the guy at sweetwater all of what I wanted in a midi controller he actually said get this akai mpk 261. I didn’t because I was still wrestling with a few things. One being the keybed and the other missing the ninth slider. A couple of good things about the board is it has a low power mode that can run on an iPhone battery alone. Also it can layer up to 8 midi tracks. The Novation Impulse and Nektar Panorama were the next closest to the specs I want other than a multitimbral keyboard synth.

I am looking for a 49 key controller with good feel, I don't need drum pads or as the iRig has a built in audio interface. Any recommendations?

do the aftertouch on yours seem to take a lot of effort? i love mine tho. i need to get better at it. i use FL studio w mine, i need to learn how to have it so I don't have to re-assign on a project

I just got this for £90, , but in supreme condition...
Unfortunately I don't know how to attach it to the mac probook 😢
But to make sure it's working.
I connected it to my windows laptop using fl studio, and it works..

I don't have any of the additional software for it as well.
I've got the code for software to download but don't know if it for all of the software.

That remains to be seen! I thought it would be the best in my price range and over the Mpk 49.

Now.
I don't know now if I return it.. Because it's been touted as being a standalone keyboard, but it's not, if it's a Midi controller and not a Midi synthesizer!!! 😢

Save Your Money.. The Pitch wheel on this & on the Mpk 261 are PRONE TO EARLY FAILURE I've experienced this firsthand

hello broh, I want to become a music producer and I am totally beginner where i don't have any knowledge on music theory or anything abt music and i also don't know how to play any instrument .. so i am willing to learn piano / keyboard,

Black people love this keyboard so if used on sale it will be heavily used and probably fail.
