I'm a single childfree woman, and it's the right decision for me.

I am a 53 year old SINK: single and childless. For a long time, I wanted to have children and be married so badly. Finally, I realized that I had a great amount of freedom and autonomy; therefore, I chose to stop dating in my 30s. I understood I did not have to have a life resembling that of my counterparts. One thing that I have realized in the past few years is this: I am caretaking for my senior parents, but I’m not sandwiched with caretaking for children at the same time. I think that would’ve been too overwhelming for me.

As a mother I respect their decision. Women need to take back their power and remind the world that life doesn't exist unless women decide to birth that life into existence. Treat women better

We were dinks for 5 yrs before kids. It was fun. Post kids has been extremely fulfilling though tiring. Now they're adults and we're back to us. It's been the best of both worlds. I am so glad we have them in our lives as we grow older and that we will have grandkids. ❤❤
