I can imagine when Bowser is making his way to kidnap Peach, he and the Koopalings drop down from their flying ships huge quantities of lava all over the Mushroom Kingdom with big buckets like the ones we see in Paper Mario Color Splash.

3 New things I learned today
1. You can ground pound the floor below the checkpoint in 1-3
2. No matter what 1-3 is still the most annoying level in World 1
