Yes 100% go for it in that video idea of exploring the GT500 series and Super GT. I have often wanted to fill online GT7 racing lobbies just with GT500 spec cars.
But also the thought of multi class GT300 mixed in... Really wished the game supported more players on track in a session with them racing in their respective categories. Have up to 2 categories for a custom race.

To be honest, I think this 1997 Supra JGTC is quite ugly, the 2000-2001 model found in the GT3 and GT4 is prettier

Sorry to sound like such a newbie to the game (which I am) but where do you go to get that screen that shows all the events in a particular category of race?

I honestly must be bad at this game now but since the physics update im really struggling, tye weekly challenge 700pp race i cant come anywhere near the top 3, 30 plus seconds away, no matter what car or difficulty i select, novice meabs i get closer but still way off, starting to get annoyed as im usually pretty good, 750 hrs of game time and now i can hardly win any of the races that are restricted to pp etc

I love the 2000 Model and loved the livery of the 2001 Model. The 1997 one is alright tho but what official liveries or teams were for the 1997 GT500 Model besides Tom's Castrol and Denso Sard.

I loved owning and racing the JGTC Supras on GT PSP, the only GT title I put time into! This, Denso Sard, Woodone Tom's and au Cerumo!
