Remember when the Coyotes posted on April fools that they were moving to SLC and it was just a joke only to reveal they were actually moving ten days later lol

Florida Panthers fan here....I gotta say that the story of the Arizona Cayotes is not too dissimilar from the Panthers. They were bad for the majority of their history, they were constantly being told they were going to relocate, they had issues with the arena, issues with fans going to the game, issues with ownership, and it just seemed like they were never going to get it right. But we did, and this summer we got to celebrate the ultimate joy of fandom....watching your favorite team stand atop the mountain and lift the trophy and the honor of calling yourself a champion. I went to the parade, even as it RAINED the entire time, not even a hurricane would've dissuaded me from celebrating. I feel for Cayote fans such as yourself. I can tell this team meant a lot to you and many others in Arizona. I hope you guys get a franchise again in the future and you are reborn....like a Phoenix from the ashes of the old Cayotes.

this is the kind of comprehensive video the Coyotes deserve. they were the first NHL team I fell in love with of my own volition. I made school presentations on Shane Doan as a kid. the franchise and fans deserved (and continue to deserve) much better. you've thoroughly captured every aspect of this team-- the good, the bad, and the ...meh. thank you for this work of art

Im a Utahn and i was able to attend the opening game of the Utah Hockey Club. Ive always loved seeing our echl team play but i never dreamt about an NHL team. I just wasnt really interested in watching hockey (or any other sport) Until seeing this team play. I bought a TV antenna so I can catch the games! Coyotes happen to be my favorite animal and I'm begrudgingly waiting for the Yetis to establish themselves. After seeing the fans Kachina jerseys at the game I know i'll end up making a custom Utah Yoties sweater.

Thank you so much for doucumenting and sharing this team

The Coyotes winning their last game in Arizona on my birthday was bittersweet. I'll be honest I was a recent fan but I have a ton of respect for the fans who stuck with them all these years through all this bullshit. You guys are the realest of the real, and you deserved better.

My first and only NHL game I’ve ever attended was Nashville’s shootout win vs the Coyotes in 2022. An absolutely electric game, ended in round 7 of the shootout. I have the promotional puck from the night as well. All that to say, without the Coyotes I probably never would’ve gotten back into hockey. Go Preds, but the Yotes will always have a special place in my heart.

God, I hate how terrible ownership brings down such a good hockey market. I feel for all the fans who deserve to still be cheering for their team.

This video was extremely well done. I truly feel sorry for the hockey community in Arizona that truly loved this team. The ownership situation was such an ongoing clown show that this team simply had to move with how bad the optics had become. It's really unfortunate given that Bill Armstrong has proven to be a legitimately competent GM and could have built something in the desert. It is incredible how poorly the Coyotes nearly 30 year tenure went in the desert. Arizona hockey fans deserve better and I hope they get better someday. I'm an Edmonton Oilers fan who has also had to deal with threats of my team moving over time, so I was more than happy that the Coyotes got a send off beating the 2024 Western Conference Champions in their final game.

The story of the Coyotes is an impressive mixture of horrid luck and own goals that will likely never happen again. Its fascinating stuff.

12:11 calling Bettman controversial implies that there’s a side that likes him.

Breaks my heart to hear you talk about them in their last game.

I went to that Devils game in their last season as the Yotes. I was so mad watching my Devils lose at the time, but now, I got the see the Yotes win in their last season. A nice silver lining I guess.

The Timerwolves didn’t want to share the Target Centre. And the st Paul civic centre and Met centre were too old. That’s why the jets didn’t go to Minnesota

For god sakes, if the NHL ever tries Phoenix again, VET THE OWNERS!

First off, excellent documentary. Secondly, you are young! When I was in middle school, the Coyotes were still playing in downtown Phoenix and they were very popular at the time. Sure the arena was suboptimal for hockey but the games were very fun to go to. The atmosphere was very lively. After they moved to Glendale, it was never the same. The fans at games just weren’t as into it. By the time they moved to Mullett Arena in Tempe, the team had more of a cult following. They got such little exposure that some newer resident didn’t even know there was an NHL team here. It’s no wonder Tempe voters rejected the arena.
