Показать описание
Eppley Airfield is a medium to large sized, multi-use airport located on the northeast side of the city of Omaha, Nebraska. It is surrounded on all four sides by bodies of water. The Missouri River bounds the north, east, and south sides of the airport, with Carter Lake on the west. The location on the northeast edge of the city sometimes makes it difficult to find at night. There are several airports located in the vicinity. Council Bluffs is located approximately five miles southeast and Offutt Air Force base is ten miles south. When Eppley is landing on the parallel runways 32-L or 32-R, pilots need to be aware of traffic inbound to these airports with special attention paid to traffic in and outbound from Council Bluffs. This video prepares pilots for the traffic mix, hot spots, challenges including migratory bird activity and runway configuration details at OMA.

This video is informational only and does not replace the pilot’s responsibility to conduct required pre-flight planning in accordance with FAR 91.103.
