It's been a cool and wet holiday weekend, and the showers will continue for the rest of Memorial Day. Most 72 hour rain totals for Southern Idaho are up around 0.75". Temperatures will not be cooling much overnight, so additional snow will stay above 6,500 feet.

Tuesday will start with patchy fog, and a few lingering showers. Skies will gradually clear, and we'll be drying out. Temperatures will also be significantly warmer - but still below seasonal averages - with highs in the mid to upper 60's for the valley.

High pressure strengthens through midweek for dry weather and warming temperatures. Afternoon highs will be in the 70's and low 80's through the end of the work week. Though, more unsettled weather is expect next weekend, as another Pacific low pressure system brings a return of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
