Hey folks, for those asking a bit about Tinkaton, the Charcadet evolutions, and more -- I tried very hard not too repeat myself too much on this Best list and bring more of my general opinion into it, bringing over Annihilape and Clodsire but leaving the others on my Should Use list which was definitely a lot more about just how good they are in-game only. Trust me, I love Tinkaton, and you just might be seeing it again very soon ;)

Annihilape is one of my new favourite pokemon. The fact that he basically got so angry he died and then goes on to have amazing stats and an incredible design is so cool.

I think I get why palafin looks so similar to its pre evo. It's a superhero who blends in with the rest of the population, and needs to go change to his hero clothes.

Armorouge should have been mentioned since it’s the best Fire type aside from Skeledrige. I mean it’s really bulky, it’s immune and power up by fire attacks, you can get it really early, and it learns Psyshock and Mystical Fire upon evolution, it’s move set is amazing, and on top of that, it hits real freakin hard and when it learns Armor Cannon it can practically one shot almost anything that’s not bulky or resisted to fire.

Gallade is my I'm still opting for him in Scarlet and Violet just because he still has a good combo of types, looks cool, and frankly, despite playing Pokemon since the originals as a kiddo, I just never used Gallade when he was released and so he's, ironically, a "new" Pokemon to me haha

Palafin is an hero moved by friendship, thats why you need the union circle to evolve, so that he learns about the power of friendship

i was very glad to see glimmora brought up, it's one of my favorite new pokemon purely for it's design, though I'm not 100% sure what it's based on

there’s a Naclstack in the wild that has a Ghost Tera type with Curse, combine it with Salt Cure and you have an HP draining MACHINE

I think why Palafin being initially no different than it’s pre evolution is to reference the “Clark Kent” part of Superman that is also “just an ordinary guy”. Palafin’s normal form is it’s secret identity and it has to go change into Hero Form out of view because it’s “secret identity” would be blown if you saw it changing. It’s like how the superheroes of comic books also can’t afford to have their secret identities revealed.

I have to mention that Finizen & the evolution, Palafin reminds me of Ecco the Dolphin, a surprisingly dark Genesis/Mega Drive game about a normal bottlenose dolphin who is given super powers to save his pod from monsters who stole them away from him.

That's what makes the Finizen line one of my favourite Scarlet & Violet Pokémon.

I'm upset Kilowattrel isn't on the list. It's got massive speed and special attack. Electric and flying type and volt absorb makes for a really solid pokemon. Give it a scope lens and air cutter, and electroball. And it's a sweeper. Was without a doubt the most valuable pokemon on my team for most of the game. Ended up like lvl 76-77 because I used it so much.

Clodsire is the only pokemon I caught that I have kept for the whole runtrough he just felt good being immune to electric and healing from water! the new wooper form just looked cool so I picked him up straight away.

On corvinight the 4th move should be Bulk up. Since it raises both attack and defense, you’ll get a boost to brave bird and iron head while also getting a boost to body press
