Do I really need an attorney for my workers' comp case?

This video reviews some factors that go into whether you need an attorney for your workers’ compensation case. If you are an injured worker with a California injury, and don’t have an attorney, this video is intended to help provide an overview of workers’ compensation topics so you can better represent yourself.

Workers’ compensation can be very complicated, and the law is often changing. The system was developed long ago to function without attorneys, but some cases can be complicated and involve quite a bit of litigation. It can be best to talk to a few attorneys to get their thoughts, and to ensure you find an attorney that you’ll be comfortable working with for some time. It’s more fully described in the video.

Jeremy Lusk is a certified specialist in workers’ compensation with almost two decades of experience, and previously served as a Judge at the Fresno District Office of the WCAB. He has worked out of Fresno, but appeared at numerous Boards to represent both injured workers and employers/carriers.

How an unrepresented worker deal with a Qme deposition. There is no conflict of medical records of PTP and QME. All doctors are on se page including Qme.. Its a normal action for defendants to depose of a Qme and what happens at deposition of Qme. How the unrepresented worker can defend herself and what actions to take

Can you do a video explaining how having multiple serious injuries from one accident while on workers compensation works? And how those impairment ratings are combined & calculated? And if you have two injuries to the body as a whole, does it get calculated separately or is the entire body as a whole counted for those two injuries. Thanks so much.

My son-in-law‘s father died suddenly recently, and he had an ongoing Workmen’s Comp. settlement in the works. His father had a girlfriend, but not a spouse. Who has the rights to the settlement?
