According to Wikipedia the new prime minister is fan of " military, vehicles, trains and Japanese idols " and is leader of the party where previous prime minister is part of.

Will be interesting if the new PM will attempt to neuter article 9 of their US crafted Constitution, as the US would like.

For the fellow Shinzo Abe haters, he was one of the few LDP members to criticize Shinzo Abe. It is a step in the better direction.

Mr. kishida has been so criticized by Abe-Takaichi supporters for so long. Upon the resignation he successfully avenged himself upon them. He weakened corrupted Abe-faction and Takaich supporters and paved the way for New prime minister Ishiba.

A Great Prime Minister of a Great Nation has gloriously walked away from a coveted Post, having done wonderful works for the three years that he headed it! What an example!
