Marathon looks pretty mehh

Dig the art style but the gameplay isnt doing it for me and movement looks quite slow often.

Its not Concord levels of bad but this look unimpressive to me so far... and the whole extraction shooter thing already was a bit disappointing & off putting. "Marathon is going to launch as a premium product, meaning players will be asked to pay full price."

Marathon will have a battle pass, 3 maps (4th map arriving shortly after launch) It looks like Marathon pricing wasn't announced at the event. It's worth noting that other online titles (Helldivers 2, Concord) launched at $39.99 and reports last year had Marathon priced at $39.99 (not officially announced) Saw this post from Okami where he said: "It seems to me like they're targeting a younger audience with this game. D2 has historically had an older audience so that makes sense.

Art direction looks great as expected. The Destiny influence definitely shines through. Gameplay also reminded me of Apex a bitsurprisingly.

Extraction shooters are usually not my thing but I'll definitely give it a try. Hopefully there's lots of interesting things to do around the map.

Story cutscene at the end was cinema.

Overall, I could see it being reasonably successful especially on console. Pricing will be crucial though."

Bungie was a HORRIBLE acquisition. 3.6 billion wasted. They could’ve bought a WAY BETTER STUDIO or STUDIOS for that money! They spent 3.6 billion for a studio that doesn’t even make exclusives for them.
