Only thing missing for me is a bagless dustbin. Im definitely in the minority, but i dont want to depend on the company for bags forever. Still awesome though

The Switchbot S10 also connects to your drain / water to do similar things, but the swinging out mop on the Robrock looks awesome

"Roborock impresses me with its commitment to enhancing user experience by continually optimizing features to address common cleaning challenges. The genius behind the expandable side brush has truly been a revelation, making my daily cleaning routine a breeze by effortlessly reaching and cleaning those hard-to-reach corners.

Love these innovations but the prices are getting crazy. I bet these are $2000-2500.
I’m holding out for the model that can climb my stairs, and strip and wax the floor. Maybe shampoo the carpet too.

It's not hot water mopping, it's just hot water mop washing afaik. Meaning the mops get washed in hot water in the dock, which is great, but the actual mopping isn't done with hot water

The S7 does this too! The S7 ultra dock has an optional accessory (the "water change kit") which is just a hard plumbed clean/dirty tank with pumps to refill the clean and pump the dirty down your washing machine drain - it just slots in like the regular tanks. Unfortunately they don't seem to be available anymore but I've had mine for probably almost a couple years so I haven't had to deal with water changes in a long time.

As a newcomer to the Roborock family, the sheer array of choices the brand offers is remarkable. It's clear they prioritize providing options that cater to diverse user needs. I'm particularly intrigued by the S8MaxV Ultra. Could you share any insights on when this model will be available for purchase? Excited to explore all that Roborock has to offer!

I wish there was a standard for the bags because it seems like every manufacturer has a different style and they’re all a pain to find online 😂
SignalOne
You probably know this, but they aren’t the first or only to be doing this. But the sponsorship explains this.

I have the S8 MaxV Ultra and would like to “convert” it to the self draining, anyone know where I can buy the drain and refill dock by itself?
sdcoinshooter
what consumables can cowork with S7 MaxV Ultra ??

Tbf they just catching up with the compeition, DreamTech L20 already does most of these new features, but also removes the mop pads into its base, much better then keeping rhe pads on even it in the raise position, it still makes your carpet slightly damp.
UnfittedNoise
Wow finally, wondered why this wasn't a thing for years already. Can it remove the dust too? I would love one that sucks out the dust, grinds it and flushes it.

I think you confused hot water mopping with hot water mop cleaning/drying at the dock.
cyrillllll
one xiaomi tank is enough for 2-3 washes of about 50-60 square meters, changing water is really easy, why do you need to connect it to something?
kuikukui
The speed at which Xiaomi releases new versions says that 1) The last version wasn't complete, and 2) You should wait for the next version because this one isn't either.
MrRoguetech
Now if only it could empty its own dustbin…
myHomeKithome
I think switchbot s10 easily beats it with its self cleaning retractable mop.

Why not a little satellite mini robot that undocks from the parent, goes into the corners / inaccesible placed and redocks. C’mon, it’s 2024 😜
