Remember that decibels go up in a logarithmic scale so its considerably louder.

When I’ve fitted a decat pipe to a bike in the past it’s made more difference than fitting an end can and makes the bike run much leaner so the bike needs to be remapped .

Hi Simon, I've still got the 411 and it came with a, Lextek can which sounds so sweet over 3000 and I'm now going to do the decat but will do the full Delkevic s/s including downpipe but not can so should save even more weight. I've been told to reset the ecu, start and leave idling for 15 mins. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching 👍 and happy New year to you and the Mrs

I installed a "PoweRage SS silencer with header bend pipe" shipped from India via eBay. Very nice quality, relatively low price, and fast shipping, and the pipe has a very sturdy center stand stop as well as a vertical brace welded to it. The muffler is stainless and the same length as the OEM. It has a removeable dB killer. With the dB killer installed it is a bit louder and deeper than either of the bikes in your video - but not too loud, IMO. Total weight savings 5 lb. I might have removed the center stand as mynxl did if I'd thought of it. 😁

The resonator box has bumpers on the bottom and when you remove it the center stand is hanging free. Although in the video it kind of looked like the foot of the stand on the right side is touching the muffler. Your friend's bike looks like it had the center stand removed. Thanks for taking the time to do the video.

I ditched the centre stand at the same time as fitting the decat. Temporarily refit it for servicing. Quite pleased with the result

Great video, looking forward to the performance and how it hold itself on the bike.

I'm not sure a Himalayan is the bike for an notable exhaust note - but appreciate the video thanks.

I was told by an RE dealer that it invalidates your warranty? It's worth checking out. Although bikes don't need a CAT for an MOT.

certainly worth doing for the weight but defo for the sound, get yourself a better silencer as they do rasp quite nicely once changed

Wouldn't it make more sense both for power and emissions to change the muffler instead?

I've watched so much of your content I assumed I had subscribed, so apologies but I've liked and subscribed now. As always great video with clear instructions. Any chance of a link for that link pipe please.

Have you looked at the AEW slip on at all? Considering that along with the decat pipe, seems to have a nice sound from the online content.

Just so u know cat is actually in the pipe where the pipe changes sizes but eliminating resonator box does change sound and weight but your cat is still in their

Does the decat not reduce backpressure thereby causing engine damage and voiding the warranty? It's a Euro 5 so I always wondered if this was the issue (my Triumph 1200 scrambler was worse without the cat.

Don't you have frequent tec inspections required by law to keep it on the road? Or do you just put the cat back in for those?

Doubles as a pre-battle war horn too 😂

Interesting graphics on the tank on the Hanle bike! Do you know where those were sourced?

That does sound better and there might be a minute power increase, as to whether it is noticeable remains to be seen. I think my first upgrade will be bark busters, maybe some folding mirrors too, as I am sure I will need them lol. I am still disappointed about the crash protection actually damaging the tank with one drop, I mean what is it meant to be protecting?
