They look great, especially the hibiscus one. I agree that 5 pineapples would have looked better but it doesn't look in any way bad. In general, an odd number of elements is always the way to go for decorating.

I also work in a grocery store bakery and sometimes my coworkers will just write, "woman birthday, do whatever" or something like that on the order form. Drives me nuts.

I think pairing them together was smart rather than doing the same design on both. Makes them still feel special and individual enough and custom versus like buying two cookie cakes from a store and putting like number candles on them.

Why would it matter if they were boys or girls? Everything else I get, but what were you going to do? Slap on a pink tiara? A pineapple doesn't need to be gendered.

It makes total sense. Every customized cake order goes wrong regardless of where I order it from, and how much detail and time I added to my order. The actual preparer of the cake is NEVER the person who took my order!
