I have a Savage pistol...it's 95 years old, and still functional. 10 round capacity double stack. Savage was ahead of the times! I usually carry a gun with 5-10 rounds...so this one is right in the ballpark! Now at the range I use 15-20 rounds of capacity. But for everyday carry, I'd rather have a slimmer gun w/an extra mag in my pocket!

I have a late production .380 Savage. Wife said I needed a new gun because mine was too old. It was discontinued in model 1907 and yes still runs good after a good cleaning.

Reason for single stack mag-the gun is manufactured in Massachusetts. Mass and neighboring Connecticut both restrict mags to 10 rounds. Neighboring New York, has an 8 round max.

It’s a self defense gun. Your not going into battle . I think the round capacity is fine.

I like the looks! But the capacity counts it out for me!

New to your channel and enjoying the info you put out. In addition I like your personality
Good info with a little fun humor 👍
nickmougros
I like it … not concerned about the capacity!!!
josecardenas
I BOUGHT ONE AND HAVE THREE MAGAZIINES I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

Fun Fact: The people that are concerned with round count are the same people who have never been in a gun fight.

Say it isnt so, Alice! Say it isn't so....

Ya did gud!! I understand the single/ double stack debate/dilema. 3 things: actual pocket concealability(I have pocket-carried for 40+ yrs, all day, most every day. They cant quite get double stacks that small to be that confortable) #2 7/8shot capacity. We all should know that a large percentage of self-defense relys on confidence of having a weapon, then if nescessary drawing that weapon, where it often ends the conflict.#3 When, occassionally, multiple assailants are involved, every time a co-conspiritor drops, so does the crowds bravery. 2-3 shots by a well-trained defender beats a full house, and allows room for escape, or path to stored protection. So IMHHO, while I dont see the Stance becoming a Tac-Tee-Cool Crowd, I predict a cult following of The Old Farts Brigade, those who just wanna be safe, but aint gonna join the Gamer's Legion!!

I thought it was an Honor Defense too ..

Cool gun. Definitely has a removable chassis. I'm very surprised that it's not more popular... and because it's not popular there really aren't any videos I can find on them that show disassembly and assembly in any way (not even for installing aftermarket triggers or parts/accessories). That really sucks. (...and I would never buy a firearm if I don't already know precisely how it works).
deucedeuce
maybe they didnt do double stack because CT and MASS are 10 round limit and they see other states limiting to that in the future

Nice review. Single stack in a micro-compact offers a thin grip (which I like), and with 8 rounds; do you really need much more? I trust Savage as a company as they make well built, accurate rifles for not a ton of money.

If Sheila arms would make mag for this sw shield to bring it up to 10-12 range. That would be a game chager

If I had to guess Savage is targeting (pun intended) the women’s market. Since many of them have smaller hands they’ll appreciate the narrower grip circumference and easier trigger reach. Walther just did that with their PDP pistol too.

I was about to buy a Taurus GC2. Thanks to this video I'll see if I can find this gun locally. Thanks for the video.

How is this gun better than a Walther PPS M2 single stack?
