Watched +100 different reviews this week (seriously) and you're the best reviewer. Only person to several times put a face in front of the camera. Any negative comments you get come from people who place cameras 2 stories high, wanting to then post how they got robbed on FB. I just want their face for 1 second.

I have installed many of these Dahua cameras throughout western PA. EZ set up. If you use them outside you must use the plastic connector with the foam piece that goes over the cat45 connector. If you don't use the plastic connector, you may fry the camera when it gets wet. I am going to purchase more.

Why do so many reviews do still image / still image with text testing. The critical thing for CCTV systems is how well it captures moving images. A person who is doing something illegal is not going to stand still and smile at the Is this camera a GENUINE Dahua? OEM Dahua do not support Firmware Updates and often Chinese ones come with firmware that talks to Chinese Servers, even in todays market. This model is still available, but usually genuine Dahua is more expensive than the AlliExpress ones.
I know this video is older, but the above questions are relevant for now :)

While this camera offers good quality image during day where you have enough sunlight, at night it is different story. It can go maximum of 15meters at night and that's it.
Good for front door or small areas at night because it has weak IR.
During day it is quite good and you can go with atleast 2-3 IVS rules and MD.

At the beginning of the video you say that it is a 2.8mm camera, but on the box your opening it shows 3.6mm. So in saying this which one is it? did you get it wrong? I would like to know. thank you

I see that the video was quite jittery especially when the car and the truck were driving past, also 20 frames per minute is a little low for my liking. That's probably why it was jittery.
