The rapture is a teaching which says that Jesus will come secret and silently to take unbelievers, while unbelievers are left behind on the earth to suffer persecution. the Bible, however, teaches Jesus' second coming will be the loudest event to ever occur, and heaven and earth will explode in bursts of flames. Some think that the rapture theory originated with Darby in the 1800's. One thing we know for sure, when Jesus comes, there will be no earth for unbelievers to be left behind on.

You must understand that Rapture event is different from the Second coming of Lord Jesus Christ. The 2nd coming will transpire after the Rapture. Those who were Raptured will come back to earth with Lord Jesus Christ ready for battle to fight Satan and his demons. It's all in the scripture. Godbless

I was raised Pentecostal I am now 46 years old and I have never heard about a silent rapture. As I understand it, it will be very loud and very obvious.
