What is the value of Official Statistics?

What are statistics worth? Official statistics provide the basis for the informed decision making that underpins sustainable development, but fully understanding their value brings many challenges. UNECE and the UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) are working with 26 countries in a UNECE Conference of European Statisticians Task Force to figure out how to measure the value of official statistics.
