I get it, the people who say this are probably not aware of the impact or they just don’t care. I would think it would be clear that there are many types of disabilities that affect each person differently. I hope people realize that there are many types of disabilities and that no one should be treated differently because of that.

How we act is attitude. (Attitudes of humility, gratefulness, snide attitude, sarcastic attitude, joyful attitude, etc.) Being in a wheelchair isn’t an attitude. The “disability” they mention is their own mind, stopping them from going further (doubt, selfishness, greed, etc.)

The amount of people who have asked to pray over my injured leg is ridiculous... Generally I just let them so they'll eventually go away because if I don't the person generally gets offended at me.

Unrelated i’m so sorry but I REALLY love all the hair colors you’ve done in your videos !!

On another note, I think people who don’t recognize disability are the ones who don’t advocate for changes in accessibility for the public 😔 even small things like a longer walk signal I’ve seen make changes…. a bad attitude though?? Society accommodates to that enough 😭

Ugh, I hate this one. Like who knew a bad attitude could cause you so much pain moving makes you hurl...oh wait 🤬

I imagine that these are the people who think “disability” is a bad word, and probably also think that positive thinking can overcome anything.

Those of us who just want to live in this world even though our bodies don’t work fully normally know that disability is real, and not a bad word, and not so easily overcome as to be changed by an attitude.
