My biggest fear. how do you control something that is intended to learn, evolve and think for itself? Especially something that is created with/by human ideas, desires and goals(humans want to conquer and reproduce (in it's most basic impulse/instinct). When we design AI that has the potential/is autonomous what's stopping it from deciding what's best for the human race? This "being" has access to everything we know, is connected to the world wide web and(it literally would have the computing power of every CPU on the planet) and can tap into any 3D printer that is connect to the internet/digital network(now a days what isn't connected to the internet) to produce "children" of it's own(reproduce) to create a world it "feels" is the ideal world(conquer). Chances are we wont be in it. Unless it decides to allow us to live, but the only way to make the world a "better" place would be for it to control/police our everyday lives. Last I checked you can't program emotions(empathy) into AI. Even if you could, would you want to? Humans have a lot of psychological problems. Do we want a creation that doesn't need to eat, sleep, poop or d*e(it literally make clones/backups of itself in every/any device that has storage capabilities(you are familiar with P2P?) on a global scale. Total subjugation or total annihilation. That's my fear...
