I think glue traps and snap traps and poison are more humane then letting them get ran over by automobiles and eaten violently by other critters. Wham!

When you release the mouse in the wild it will just reproduce and come back to your house some other time. I think too much of an empathy for pests is a wrong mindset in pests extermination. Mice are pests that bring diseases, along with cockroaches and the crickets that you are getting rid off with that glue trap. Pests are not meant to be petted. Pests that bring harm to humans should be eradicated completely or they will invade if not your household but your neighbors as well. Even if you capture a live mouse you should not release it outdoors in the wild but instead find a way to kill it without witnessing how it dies if that's what you're afraid of. The best humane way of ridding off pests though is cleaning your surroundings, if depriving food sources to your pests isn't inhumane to you.

IT IS VERY CRUEL !!! immobilized mice and rats "often die a long, slow, agonizing death of starvation, dehydration and exhaustion." Essentially, they are stuck, so they can't get food or water, and thus, die slowly. Whoever doing this should think twice! Glue traps represent a cruel and archaic approach to rodent control and have no place in a progressive society concerned with animal
