The Life of Jesus: Do You Love Me? Jesus forgives Peter for denying that he knows him. Jesus asks Peter three times, "Do you love me?". Each time Peter says yes. It doesn't matter what you do, there is nothing that Christ cannot forgive.

This part of the Bible makes me cry all the time. I feel like Jesus asks me every day "Do you love me?"

At the age of 30 I finally read my whole Bible. I wept reading this passage, when He asked do you love me three times. I realized all the times I denied HIM in front of others just like Peter. I hope to do a little better each day and feed his sheep.

For those who don't understand, i will explain you the meaning of why Jesus asks Peter 3 times if he loves Him. The answer is, because before Jesus died, Peter denied Jesus 3 times.

When Jesus said that Peter would get old and would be taken where he doesn't want to go, I was really sad about that. Like Jesus forgave Peter. But also Peter would have to pay for what he did. That is utterly heart wrenching to me.
