Apparently the actor felt so bad about yelling at the kid that he apologies profusely afterwards.

This is seriously so sad how he has done nothing wrong as is being degraded entirely as if he's an object.

Like most people today, when pressed against the wall most people will betray themselves. Fear is a powerful tool.

The actor who had to yell at the little kids that he couldn’t stop apologizing to the kids and their parents I just think that’s a sweet fact ❤

The nazi was a great actor, you definitely feel fear and disgust with him, he did a very good job with his character

The biggest tragedy in this film is exactly this scene. I felt so broken when I saw their friendship dissapare.

I can understand why Bruno lied... he was terrified by the angry soldier and what it might mean for him had he admitted to befriending a jew... that being said, regardless of his consequences, he still would have gotten off waaay easier than Schmuel. I'm surprised Schmuel lived to see another day after this scene, let alone had all his limbs still attached.

My entire grade 7 year level watched this movie in the school’s auditorium and after Bruno said that he had never met schmuel in his life everybody kept on sh*tting on Bruno

Something tells me the look in his eyes and the nod afterwards; he was pushing Bruno to say exactly what he wanted to hear

Legend has it that the guard loved his job so much that he became an agent and change his name to 47

I think people don't understand that there is a big difference between standing up as an adult versus a child. Children can NOT defend themselves against an adult. When a grownup screams, it triggers their fight or flight response, except they can not fight, and they can not leave. It's a survival mechanism. Children will succumb to their abusers because they want to survive. Bruno doesn't understand why nazi camps exist, he does understand the complexities of evil. He just knows he wants to live until tomorrow, and that means telling the adult whatever b.s. they want to hear.

The iconic scene where agent 47 disguised himself as an SS soldier to reach his target

This sense is so heartbreaking……especially the way they died together and the way both parents felt the pain
