The Rookie 5x7 Thorsen calls Tim out about Lucy. Chenford

There wasn’t a ton of Chenford tonight, but I did love the moment Thorsen accused Tim of making decisions based off of what is best for Lucy.

Maybe this scene was to show the 'rookie' side of Aaron. Tim was the one who said it, but there was Angela&Nyla&Lucy there too and none of them tried to pull him out. They were just more focused about the op itself bc they've all been through these things a lot

I don't think Thorsen had the right to make that comment first of all he went against his conscious in agreeing to use the boy to help Lucy to influatrate the gang if he had stuck to his conscious they would have found another solution so his guilty conscious had him and in addition to Tim not wanting to pull the kid out further agitated the situation.


However I do think Tim made a bad call in not pulling him out knowing these situations can go south in a split second.

Remember how he felt when Lucy went undercover with Nyla. He called her being used, even though Lucy is a cop this boy isn't so I think his decision on leaving the boy was not a good call. Thorsen and Tim both showed concerned over someone's safety. Tim' concern for Lucy was overridden to get drugs off the streets on the other hand we see Tim as a Sargeant having to make a difficult decision to override Thorsen' concern of his "puppy' safety all in an effort to get a killer off the streets.

We still need a good reason for why Lucy and other guy break up in order for Chenford to happen.
Obviously cheating is out, and I don’t like them ending it cuz of feelings for someone else

Regardless of whether Tim's feelings for Lucy had anything to do with it, they never should have pushed that kid to be involved here. Everyone seemed so gung-ho to get him to do it, I wish Thorsen pushed back a bit more.

I want to mention first. Did u see the writere here touching on the black cop, white cop dynamics being played out in this episode. Tim asked some hard questions where as Thorsen was more black on black friendly cop, secondly, I saw Tim actually being afraid in this episode. A geniune I don't know what the shit this kid is going to do. Thank God for Thorsen having his back kind of acting here.

I had to take a double take and gather my thoughts. This situations could have ended differently irl.

I love Tim and I love Chenford, but he was in the wrong here. Thorsen is an amazing addition to the cast and kudos for calling out the obvious. Tim owed Thorsen an apology at the end, not the other way around. I was surprised by the casual callousness for that kid's safety displayed by Angela, Nyla, Tim, and Lucy. And Tim wants to talk about letting puppies in? He took in Lucy's literal puppy and set human puppy Tamara up with his "car guy." Hypothetical. Things felt a little off with the characters in the episode. Perhaps not one of their normal writers? Or it was a way to purposely set up Chenford riding together again in 5x08 if Thorsen is still (rightfully) upset with Tim.
